Police Callsigns

Callsigns for Metropolitan patrols are allocated from the station they come from followed by the patrol number.

For example a Christies Beach general patrol could be Christies 10. Traffic patrols have a 0 in front of the number eg; Christies 010 would be a Christies Beach traffic patrol.

Higher ranking officers also have a different prefix

Sergeant = Vixen

Senior Sergeant = Mitre

Trojan = Inspector / Chief Inspector

Baron = Superintendant / Chief Superintendant

e.g. a Sergeant at Christies Beach would be Christies Vixen 10

Comm's Trojan 1= State Duty Officer
